SMS opt-in (My Profile)

This page documents how RightlyD.one Events (RDE), operated by Executive Technical Consulting LLC, collects consent before sending operational SMS account notifications (milestone reminders) to organization leaders.

Business and messaging use case

Executive Technical Consulting LLC provides consulting and software for churches and community teams. RDE helps event leaders coordinate projects, volunteers, and milestone reminders. SMS is used only for account / operational notifications (for example upcoming or due milestone reminders), not marketing blasts.

Who can receive texts

Only people who use RDE as leaders (for example Event Admin, Captain, Project Lead, Site Lead) and who have explicitly opted in on their My Profile screen. Planning Center or other directory imports do not authorize SMS. New contacts and imports default to Email or None.

Call to action / message flow (opt-in)

The person signs in to the RDE app (mobile or desktop) with their own account.
They open My Profile from the app menu.
Contact Preference defaults to Email (or None). Text and Both are available but SMS is not enabled until they check the consent box.
They read the on-screen disclosure (program name, message types, frequency, rates, STOP / HELP, Privacy and Terms links). The agreement checkbox is unchecked by default.
Only after checking “I agree to receive RDE text messages” and saving with preference Text or Both does RDE record SMS consent (InApp) and allow outbound texts to that mobile number.
If they leave the box unchecked, preference stays Email or None and no SMS is sent.

Because My Profile is behind login, carriers may also review a hosted screenshot of the Profile preference + disclosure + unchecked checkbox when provided with the campaign.

After opt-in

Recipients may receive RDE milestone reminder texts when a scheduled reminder is due. They can opt out by texting STOP, texting HELP for help, or changing Contact Preference in My Profile (or asking an admin to set Email/None).
